Everything you need to know about Son of Winter

Son of Winter is the sequel to Daughter of Lightning. It picks up pretty much where the last one left off. The story doesn't make a lot of sense without the context of the first, so if you haven't read Daughter of Lightning yet, head over to the "Books" page to check it out!

Son of Winter is releasing May 25th, as both an ebook and paperback. The ebook is available for pre-order now--you can look it up on Amazon, or follow the link provided on the "Books" page.

Heads up that Son of Winter is going to be a bit more expensive than the first, simply because it's a bigger book, which means increased printing costs. The ebook will still be $3.99, but the paperback will be $11.99. Or, if you have Kindle Unlimited, you'll be able to read the ebook for free.

Now, a bit about the story itself!

As part of the same series, Son of Winter is also YA fantasy with Christian themes. It is a tad "older" than the first. Talea is still a main character, but so is Yhkon, so that brings an older POV to the table. There is still no language or sexual content, but there is some violence, and some mature themes (specifically, a character that deals with mental illness, though it isn't called such due to the medieval setting). I would say the book is appropriate for 13+.

You can read the first chapter of Son of Winter on the "Books" page, to get a pre-release taste! I will say that the story starts picking up pace. In Daughter of Lightning, there was a lot of development to do--of characters, of the world, and of the plot--but now, we're getting into the thick of things. So you can expect more action. There are also a lot of new characters introduced, and I hope you enjoy getting to know them. :)
